Green apple, oyster shell and flint on the nose. The palate is energetic with lemon pith, chalky notes and brioche, complemented by brilliant acidity and a long, dry finish.

2022 was a near perfect year for viticulture, especially if you were making sparkling. Plenty of overcast days in March ensured the grapes were harvested fully mature while maintaining brilliant acidity and low sugar. The season was very cool, with above average rainfall and below average temperatures. It will cellar well over the next 5-10 years.

Lugg Wines Non-vintage

The Non-vintage has a complex nose with lemon zest, strawberries and cream and bready notes. The palate is vibrant with red apple, citrus and creamy characters.

We’ve honed in on a more generous house-style sparkling wine and have included the three Champagne staples in this blend for the first time: chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot meunier. This Non-vintage also sees the first inclusion of our reserves program - where wine has been blended from the year before for added complexity. One third of the base wine was from 2023, with the remaining two thirds 2024.
